Hi. I’m Tiffany.
By day I am a wife, mom, photographer, writer, and content creator helping Democrats win elections. By night I am usually asleep because all of those things wore me out. If I were an arcade game, I would be a pinball machine because I like bouncing around from activity to activity, from challenge to challenge. And I get easily distracted by flashing lights. When I’m not creating, I’m pursuing advocacy, organizing community-wide events, exploring Montana’s wilderness, and butchering recipes from the Disney Parks Cookbook
In early 2024, I became aware of Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation’s blueprint to abolish the constitution and overthrow democracy as we know it if Trump is re-elected. From their own website, Project2025.org, right-wing extremists outline their objectives, including gutting most federal agencies like the Education Department and the DOJ, and installing Trump lackeys in every place of government.
Worse, the 900-page document brags that “Dobbs was just the beginning” and that abortion will be outlawed in every jurisdiction in America — regardless of the reason.
Under a new Trump presidency, assistance to foreign countries relies on those countries’ “clear and unambiguous support of Trump’s agenda.”
The document talks about “deleting” references to sexual orientation, gender, identity, DEI, gender equity, reproductive health, and reproductive rights from all federal documents. There will be no more federal protections based on race or sexual orientation.
They want to outlaw people who produce or distribute pornography, and they get to decide what that means. No more “Flowers in the Attic” or “Lolita” in public libraries.
They will eject anyone who has had an abortion or has been diagnosed with gender dysphoria from the military.
There are few people who won’t be harmed if Project 2025 comes to fruition.
And it is gaining traction among the hard right. In the past few months more than 100 Christian nationalist organizations, conservative think-tanks, and private religious universities have added their names to the list of supporters. Project 2025 has raised more than $2 billion dollars to defend Trump’s legal bills and support his campaign.
I immediately saw Project 2025 for the existential threat it is. By April, I was shocked and terrified that even my most politically literate friends had barely heard of Project 2025.
Welcome to the Project 2025 Takedown, where week by week I take elements of Project 2025 and roundhouse them so you know exactly how to talk about them to your friends and family. I’ve read every page of this dystopian document, so you don’t have to (and I have the therapy bills to prove it).
Most people don’t understand the harm of Project 2025 because most people don’t know it exists. People aren’t dumb or careless. They are just trying to get by. We have to MAKE them understand, and then we have to make them vote in November.
Here’s my commitment: I will keep posts short, clear, and concise. I will never explain anything too complicated for my sixth grader to understand. I’ll give you the tools you need to research yourself, but I’ll always explain succinctly enough that you don’t have to. When possible, I will reference what page of the document the information I’m referencing is on.
You don’t have to have hours in the day to read about this stuff or a subscription to all the major publications. Just hit the “Subscribe” button to get Project 2025 Takedown delivered to your inbox.
